As summer turns to fall on the East End, Sculpture SIGHTS continues to invite visitors to experience large-scale works of art in the open air. The exhibition Uncommon Ground VI at Bridge Gardens and Organic Abstraction at Southampton Arts Center will now remain on view through November 2.
Curator Cheryl Sokolow of C Fine Art notes that the installations “encourage viewers to consider not only the art itself, but also its dialogue with the natural environment.” The initiative highlights the ways sculpture can transform with shifting light, seasonal change, and setting.
Proceeds from sales support the Peconic Land Trust and Southampton Arts Center, creating what organizers describe as “a meaningful partnership between art and community.” Visitors can enjoy the beauty of the Hamptons landscape while engaging with museum-quality sculpture in a fresh, evolving context.
